A Year of Intentional Living
Over the past few months, we’ve felt God stirring our hearts toward a season of deeper intentionality. As we reflect on our marriage, our faith, and our family, we realize how easy it is to get caught up in the busyness of life—especially in the distractions of social media and endless apps vying for our attention.
After much prayer and discussion, we’ve made a big decision: For the next year, we will be stepping away from social media and removing any apps from our phones that pull us away from what truly matters. This is not about disconnecting—it’s about reconnecting.
Why Are We Doing This?
To Strengthen Our Marriage – Life is full of demands, and it’s easy to let small distractions pile up. We want to be more present with each other, making space for meaningful conversations, laughter, and growth in our relationship.
To Deepen Our Walk with Christ – We desire to spend more time in prayer, Scripture, and seeking God’s will for our lives. Less scrolling, more stillness. Less noise, more time listening to His voice.
To Be Fully Present with Our Children – Our "little" ones are growing so fast, and we don’t want to miss a moment. We want to create a home where they feel seen, heard, and deeply loved, without the competition of screens pulling us away.
What This Means
We won’t be active on social media for the next year. Instead, we’ll be focusing on real-life connections, quality time, and intentional moments. However, we do want to stay connected with those we love!
If you’d like to follow along on our journey, we will be sharing occasional updates here on our family blog.
We appreciate your prayers, encouragement, and support as we take this step of faith. Our hope is that this season will be one of renewal, restoration, and deeper joy in the things that truly matter.
Thank you for being a part of our lives—we look forward to sharing what God does in this season when we return!
With love,
The Caywoods
